About

E.M. Forster (or possibly not him) once asked: “How can I tell what I think until I see what I say?” We should add: How will I see what I say unless I ask myself?

Together, we will practice talking to ourselves via a series of helpful guides on time, love, work, and life, delivered monthly to an email inbox of your choosing. Let’s think hard, you and me.

Why subscribe?

We are all stories told first by others, then by ourselves, then by those who come after us. We think we know ourselves — better than anyone else could know us — but we don’t. The coming to know is in the telling.

Also: I promise I won’t sell your email address to any third parties. I honestly don’t even know how to do that.

I currently offer all posts free, but you can pay to subscribe if you find your time and attention here worthwhile. Or if you enjoy what you read and would like to support me just a little, I invite you to buy me a coffee.

Can I forward the emails?

You bet. In fact, I insist. Here, let me make sharing easy for you:
