Spring is really starting to turn over in NYC — trees have begun dressing up in green and the birds have started to argue. We sat down to dinner last night at around 7:30 pm, our usual time, and we spent most of it eating and making each other laugh in sunlight until we had to turn on a lamp to clear the table.
I’ve been a Twitter fan for years and still remain reluctant to give it up entirely even as that website grows more rickety by the day. But apparently Substack is getting into the short, quick post game, and I’m up for playing around with it. Below is the template for participating; come on over if you like, and let’s have some fun.
I just published my first note on Substack Notes and (despite it being a little depressing and ponderous) feel free to join me there.
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it for things that don’t fit in the newsletter, like work-in-progress or quick questions.
How to join
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to How to Talk to Yourself, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of How to Talk to Yourself can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
